Kids Yoga (k-6)

THIS CLASS IS HELD TUESDAY's at 4pm AND IS TAILORED TOWARDS CHILDREN GRADES K-6

C H I L D R E N are intrinsically joyful and compassionate humans to be around. They are full of creative ideas that need to be released, explored, and respected, yet many children are suffering from a lack of connection to their bodies and their environment.

Our Kids Yoga classes are designed to nurture each child’s natural compassion and innate wisdom by engaging mind, body and spirit. Through songs, movement, and stories, we combine all of the following elements to provide a playful and creative approach to yoga in a comfortable and safe environment.

Breath Awareness Techniques: Increase focus, reduce stress, and promote self-regulation.
Yoga Poses: Increase strength, flexibility, body awareness, and coordination.
Cooperative Games: Promote positive social interactions, communication, and confidence.
Yoga Stories: Teaches life lessons, how to focus, about cause and effect, how to problem solve.
Meditation: Enhance concentration, reduce stress, and arrive in the present moment.
Mindfulness: Learn self-awareness, healthy habits and non-violence.
Relaxation: Cultivate peace and serenity and recharge.

First class begins: January 25th at 4pm and will continue as a 6 week session. Drop in's are welcome!
Next 6 week session will begin March 8th.
