For a weekend of  connection, exploration, and relaxation at the gorgeous Audubon Center of the North Woods.

We are so thrilled!  The Audubon Center of the North Woods is the PERFECT place to practice yoga, meditate, journal, breath fresh air, relax, and unwind.  This intimate and secluded setting is unreal.  How could such an ideal nature space for a yoga retreat possibly be only 1.5 hours North of the Twin Cities, 1 hour South of Duluth, and 2.5 hours East of Walker???  We  know... perfection!!

Fun little story (at least we think so!) The journey to choosing this location happened organically.  Obviously Audubon is an Environmental Learning Center in the Northern part of the state - and WE LOVE THAT! Audubon also continued to come up over and over again in conversation as a place that people in our lives were recommending for us to look at.  Yoga retreat attendees and dear friends brought Audubon up to Bryana, Joella, and Amanda all on separate occasions.  Obviously all signs pointed to this beautiful place - right? Yes. JOURNEY NORTH with us.  We would be truly honored to have you on this yoga & nature inspired adventure.

W H A T  T O  E X P E C T

An all-levels yoga retreat, nestled in the woods, centered completely around stress relief, to help you reset.  Yoga, meditation, journaling, community, and the great outdoors.  

"Almost everything will work if you unplug it for awhile, including you." - Anne Lamott. This will be a complete immersion experience: limited cell service & no internet availability.  Unplug & enjoy.

Yes, beginners - and those who feel "out of practice" - are more than welcome to attend!  Many of our past retreat attendees have admitted to feeling intimidated about coming.  Afterwards, they always tell us that they felt SO welcomed and didn't know what they were worried about.  It's such an inviting and accepting environment. Come as you are! If you like to practice yoga in your t-shirt & sweats - great! - if you feel awesome in yoga clothing with "all the crazy patterns!!" - we love that too!

Also, if you can't lift your leg in the air; not to mention touch your toes...that is NOT a requirement.  Our classes offer a wide variety of modifications for beginners to seasoned yogis. It's all about feeling good and practicing the kind of yoga that is right for YOU, in this moment.  You're so awesome. COME! We love ya.

Registration

Come solo or come with friends!  Once you arrive, you'll immediately be a part of our yoga family.

 
 

Recommended Packing List

  • Yoga mat

  • Journal or notebook and writing utensil (colored pencils if you like to doodle)

  • Bathroom supplies and toiletries: bath towel, washcloth, shampoo/conditioner, soap

  • Yoga block(s) and strap

  • (meditation) pillow - any pillow will do!

  • Small cozy blanket to bring to sessions (for savasana, meditation, journaling, etc)

  • Yoga clothes

  • Lots of layers!!!

  • Water bottle

  • Beverages and snacks of your choice

  • Snowpants, hat, gloves

  • Warm boots for walking around the woods

  • Yak tracks or something else for extra tread on slippery ice and snow

  • Wool/warm socks

  • Warm pajamas

  • Sleeping bag or bedding

  • Pillow and pillow case

  • Sheets for your bed (they are twin size if you prefer to be exact)

  • Extra cushion/camping mat if you’d like more padding on your mattress

  • Ear plugs (if you are a light sleeper & concerned about getting good sleep)

  • Good book to curl up with

  • Flashlight or headlamp

  • Snowshoes or cross country skis if you have your own (these are available and included in your price) 

  • Sled (Optional)

  • Cash or check for optional massage therapy, additional workshop options, and/or retail items
 

Sweet Little Optional Extras...

The number one feedback we get is that our guests LOVE that they can participate in as much, or as little, as they want.  Each individual is able to choose what they need throughout the weekend.  We will have therapeutic massage available to add to your experience.  We will also offer workshops (included in the price), as well as a workshop at an additional cost.  Retail items, that mostly consists of Joella's gorgeous handmade jewelry and a few other fun things, will also be available. :)
